I am Gray Frog Photography, a hobbyist photographer who lives in, and is native of, Maine. I mostly enjoy taking photos of nature, rural life, working class life, and small town life here in my homeland to preserve it permanently before we are all reduced to nothing. My photography is both something of an art project and historical preservation project. It's both me taking photos of things I think are pretty, and things I want to prove existed before it's gone. A bee on a sunflower in my mothers garden.

A bee on a sunflower in my mothers garden. This is a crop, not the full photo, but I really like it this way. The EXIF data says took this photo in 2006, and that's probably correct but it also says it's 8PM which is obviously wrong based on the lighting.
It's a very old photo in my collection, and yet after all these years it still remains one of my favorite photos I have ever taken. The bee is dead, and my mothers sunflower is dead, but in this photo I took they remain forever. This photo proves they existed.

Maybe I will also post the uncropped version later.

Waterfall in Vassalboro in 2005.

I took this photo in Vassalboro in, 2005, I think. The EXIF data says 2005 but at 5AM and since it's not dark out I'll assume 5AM is wrong.
It's one of the waterfalls on Mill Stream. This area today has lost a lot of it's trees and natural beauty to the development of a fish ladder.
You can see some bricks stacked there at the top that me and my friend found when we were climbing all over the waterfall.
